Ng Kai Hwai was appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of the Group on 25 September 2023. He is responsible for the Group’s overall financial accounting and reporting, as well as matters relating to risk management.

Prior to joining the Group, he served as Audit Senior Manager at BDO LLP (Singapore) from November 2019 to September 2023. During this time, he was instrumental in establishing the firm’s Financial Services Group and conducted external audit engagements for clients primarily in the financial services industry, including financial institutions, fund managers, funds, and fintech companies.

Between October 2021 and March 2022, he took on the role of Senior Group Accountant at V Group Holding Pte Ltd, before re-joining BDO LLP in March 2022. Before his time at BDO, he worked as Audit Manager at Deloitte & Touche LLP from June 2017 to November 2019. He also served as Assistant Manager at Deloitte PLT in Malaysia from December 2011 to June 2017, where he was involved in audit assignments for both private and publicly listed companies.

During his tenure at BDO LLP, his work also included audit and accounting advisory services, with a primary focus on regulated entities. He was further tasked with reviewing regulatory compliance, including adherence to MAS requirements and regulatory reporting obligations.

Kai Hwai holds a Diploma and an Advanced Diploma in Business Studies (Accounting) from Tunku Abdul Rahman College, Malaysia, awarded in 2009 and 2011, respectively. He later obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from Sheffield Hallam University, United Kingdom, in 2011. In 2023, he completed the examinations required for membership in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
