Lester Tay is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of Rockstead Capital, which he founded in 2005. With over 28 years of experience in audit, financial reporting, and fund management, Lester has played a pivotal role in the growth of Rockstead Capital. Under his leadership, the Group’s Assets Under Management (AUM) have grown significantly to approximately S$1.6 billion. He currently oversees the overall management and strategic direction of the company.

Lester brings a strong network of industry relationships and a proven track record in delivering bespoke financial solutions for businesses and investors. Alongside a team of dedicated investment professionals and external asset managers (EAMs), he has driven robust and sustained growth in the company’s asset management business.
He began his financial career at Arthur Andersen in Singapore and Sydney, before moving on to Ernst & Young and Deloitte & Touche. Proficient in International Accounting Standards and GAAP, Lester has extensive experience in the investment and restructuring of foreign companies. Since the late 90s, Mr. Tay had led and completed several large-scale audits, due diligence engagements, business consultancy, corporatisation and Initial Public Offerings invoving corporations in Singapore, Australia, China, USA, Canada, and countries in Europe. He has also headed numerous capital-raising initiatives, including originating, structuring, executing and sourcing for equity and derivative instruments in the likes of warrants and convertibles for listing aspirants and listed entities in several jurisdictions.
Lester has spearheaded and advised on multiple listing exercises across global exchanges, including SGX, HKSE, TSX and TSX Venture in Canada, OTC and NASDAQ in the United States, as well as exchanges in Asia, Europe, and Australia. He originated OTC listings for an oil exploration company and a Singapore infotainment firm, and has been involved in the listings of more than 20 companies on the Singapore Exchange. His portfolio also includes several reverse takeovers (RTOs) across Asia, Europe, and the U.S., and he played a key role in listing the first Chinese company on the German bourses.
